Bagheera's website	Bagheera runs a company called Dispusolve which helps businesses deal with complaints
	This does not actually provide anything for us but is the website of an organisation in Latvia set up by a friend of Bagheera which helps children much less fortunate than any of us
	Webgrid offers lots of good, free, software
Flash Get	Flashget is a piece of software which allows files to be downloaded faster and for the download to carry on from where it left off if it stops part way through downloading
AVG	AVG antivirus is one of the best out there - and its free for personal use AVG also provide anti-spyware to root out those nasty little files that track what you are doing - it has automatic updates for the first month or so but then you have to do it yourself
Zone Alarm	This is considered much better than Windows Firewall - be sure to select the free version!
Nvu	Pronounced N-view, this is free software to write websites (including this one)
Mike Lin	Several useful items from Mike.  Startup monitor prevents programs altering what happens when you start up without your express permission and can alert you to possible dial up scams
OpenOffice.org	lf you don't want to pay Bill Gates for Microsoft Office, you might like this instead.  It looks and feels similar but is free
Primo PDF	You don't have to pay to make pdf files either.  Primo pdf is also free
PDF Blender	You can even join pdf files together for free.  As well as PDF Blender, you need something called Ghostscript but PDF Blender's website has a link for you to get that free as well.
Recuva	At the centenary camp somebody was telling me of a data disaster.  If the lost file has not been overwritten, then this may be able to help you.
Health & Safety Executive	This is a good site - it explains about risk assessments and debunks various health and safety myths.  Take a look at Bonkers Conkers, for example.
	Spybot Search & Destroy is able to search out and rid your computer of nasty programs other websites might have put on it
